The Best of Chile: The Atacama Desert and Its Volcanoes

The Atacama Desert, one of the driest places on Earth, is home to stunning volcanoes like Ojos del Salado, the highest in the world at 6,893 meters. This barren landscape features lagoons, ancient glaciers, and snow-covered peaks. Volcanoes such as Ojos del Salado, Llullaillaco, and San Pedro offer breathtaking panoramic views, with Ojos del Salado’s crater holding the highest point on Earth with liquid water. It’s a truly unique destination for adventurers.

In Chile, skiing is not as common an activity as in other countries with big mountains
